I hate to admit this, but we spent WAY more time teaching Anna things than we have with Meghan. With Anna Chris read to her all day sometimes. Actually I think more than anything, he was scared of her and figured out that he could sit there and read her stories and keep her entertained. With Meghan however, there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. We still read to them, but its not nearly as much as when Anna was a baby. Tonight we decided to do puzzles with them. We pulled out some of those wooden ones for Meghan with Animals. I was a little shocked that she knew almost all of the animals. I don't remember teaching her that. Then we pulled out the big Solar System puzzle we bought Anna. I was equally as shocked when Anna could point out the sun, the moon and 6 out of the eight planets.  The biggest shock of all was when Meghan could name 4 of the planets though. I nearly fell off my chair.
Sounds like a big old boring mommy brag. Well it is. Its my blog lol.

We had a wonderful weekend and I am very sorry for it to come to an end. We spent a lot of time together as a family, and Chris and I both made an effort to give each other a break. Seems like our lives are finally falling into place after Chris taking a new and very demanding job that often requires him to be away a lot. We have finally figured out how to work together again. I'm thinking that in about 3 weeks the new "Mr. Jadeske" is going to shake that up a bit :)
Diaper Gym starts again tomorrow. I can't wait for the 3 mornings a week coffee break!!!  Also my aunt Mary Ann is coming tomorrow. She is coming to help out with the girls until the baby is born. This women loves kids and I am pretty sure that I can probably pawn most of my parental duties off on her for the next few weeks and RELAX!!! It will be like having our own Mary Poppins!!
Anyway Miss Meghan has gotten out of bed 4 times now so I guess I better go lay down the law. Have a good Monday!!!

  1. Mary Poppins eh? Well when she's done re-establishing order in your place send her over here!

I was the same with my kids. With Jordan we knew body parts, animals, colours, blah blah blah by now.

Elliot just figured out where her nose was and we're so very proud. Do we try and teach her more? -or do we just keep asking her to find her nose?

I'm afraid it is the latter.
